January 1, 2010

Oops!

I can't tell you how happy I am that this wasn't my finger! I tried to remove the needle from the safety pin, but it won't come out! Guess I'll be changing my needle. :)

This is a project I'm working on now. I'm loving these fabrics!

And this is my next project -- all cut and ready to sew.

Oops again. I forgot to tell you that I have a quilt in the January/February issue of McCall's Quilting. I made this quilt using a Jelly Roll and a single background print, and it went together in no time. It isn't too late to pick up a copy at your local quilt shop or news stand.

Thank you all for your friendship and endless inspiration over the past year. I hope 2010 will be a great year for you!

Kim

Great colour! congrats on the article. I've been sewing on this first day of the year as well -- is there a better way to set the tone for 2010? I don't think so! ;)

Happy New Year, Kim! Good thing it wasn't your finger. That could have been very nasty indeed. Love the fabrics in your current/new projects. I'll just have to wait until that issue of McCall's reaches us Downunder. It's another super quilt design. Happy Stitching, Ann :-)

Happy New Year to you and yours! Congrats on your McCall's quilt, too. Super glad it was through the pin and not the finger, who ever thought quilting isn't a sport was wrong!

Kim, when I saw the quilt in the McCall's I thought "Gee, that looks like one of Kim's quilts." Then I read the copy! Great looking block/quilt. Congratulations!

I recognized your work as soon as I opened my magazine (one of 4 subscriptions I get) and I got to tell some friends that I know you! Absolutely love the quilt and like several mentioned above, it's on my lengthy to-do list.

Lucky indeed, that you didn't impale your finger. Been there; done that.

Looking forward to seeing your next completed projects. They're always special and unique.

OOOugh-la-la! I really like that new pattern in the magazine. Too bad our local magazine racks have nearly done away with all of the quilting ones :( Maybe I'll remember to look for a McCalls when I am in a bigger town next time.

Love from Texas! ~bonnie

Love this quilt! Wish my bookseller stocked this magazine - darn. Is this quilt pattern offered in Scrap Basket Surprises?
