Happy Saturday!

Hopefully you've been more creative and productive than I've been lately.  In case you didn't notice, I re-designed my blog.  It was completely unintentional.  Have you ever selected the wrong option at the exact instant that you realized it was the wrong option?

I really appreciate all the kind comments on my Blogger's Quilt Festival Post.  Hopefully you had a chance to check out all the wonderful quilts.  I still haven't finished visiting all the participants -- there are so many!  I'd like to share a beautiful post that I saw while I was visiting.  Just grab a tissue and go here

Hope you're having a wonderful weekend.

Kim

  1. I sympathize with the blog thing. I tried to "redesign" mine without training wheels. Messed it up and lost my entire side bar. Sewing machine went on the fritz so it's at the doctor. Now I'm forced to clean!

  2. I'm afraid of touching my blog...for fear of what I could do to it! Thanks for sharing the inspiring post! Her thoughts on quilting as an art form are so touching and beautifully expressed. I really enjoyed reading!

  3. Yes I have done that also. Now I know to make a copy of the design before I futz with it. The bad thing is, I need to work on mine. I am a bit 'scared' to work on it.

  4. I think it looks good, Kim! But I know what you mean - I think that's why I just leave mine alone!
    Cheers!

  5. Thanks for sending us to that blog. She explained so eloquently the joy of giving away quilts.
Just too many entries in the festival this time. Not enough time to read them all.

  6. Regarding pressing buttons, yep, been there, done that! The blog you referred us to was interesting and explained things much better than I could, and I have enjoyed the festival, but I'm still only about a third of the way through, but they're a lovely thing to have in the "bank" for a rainy day.

  7. Thanks so much for linking to my blog! I'm really happy that my post touched your heart. I've been browsing your blog, and your work is amazing. Your festival quilt is simply amazing. When I read that you had hand-quilted it, I thought, wow, so much work, but the time and effort it must have taken didn't really sink in until I saw the picture of the quilting lines coming away from the sun like rays. It's mind-boggling. I also saw the pictures of your machine quilting, and I'm in awe. How on earth do you make your stitches so regular? By the way, I love Verna, too. I have that same jelly roll, but I'm afraid to cut into it because I love it so much. Anyway, again, thanks for visiting my blog and for the kind words. :-)
