That's what I said when Pat Sloan invited me to be a
guest on American Patchwork & Quilting Radio.
I hope you'll join us on May 20 at 4:00 p.m. Eastern for the live broadcast.

I met Pat last year in Birmingham where we taught classes at the Quilt Symposium
of Alabama. She's every bit as cute and energetic as I thought she would be.
Before I left for Birmingham, my husband asked if I would be the only
teacher there. I told him there were lots of others, and started running down
the list. When I got to Pat's name, he interrupted me to ask, "THE Pat Sloan?"
He doesn't know a lot about quilting, but he knows that Pat rocks!
Hope you'll join us while I chat with THE Pat Sloan on May 20!
This IS exciting!! I listen to the podcast every week.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! How cool!! I can't wait to listen :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you be chatting with me!
ReplyDeleteVery cool, Kim. I'm mark my calendar.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure many of our husbands soak in more quilting info than we would expect, and husbands can say the cutest things. Did he ask for Pat's autograph?
I hope he realizes how famous his wife is.
Congrats! Hope to listen in :-)
ReplyDeleteOh congratulations Kim... it will be so fun to listen to you with Pat! That is going to be so fun... I just listened to her show for the first time a couple weeks ago. I am hooked now!

ReplyDeleteJust stopped by your blog to let you know how much I love your first 2 books and just ordered the 3rd. I needed a pattern for strips and pulled out every book I had. Yours has so many I want to make in both that I knew I'd want the 3rd one. Thanks for the work in putting out all neat and interesting designs for strips.
ReplyDeleteI finally had a chance to listen to your interview with Pat Sloan. I thought it was great! I would love to hear more about how you store your fabric. Do you cut all your scraps into 2.5" strips? And do you store by color, or what? Thanks for sharing all your insights. It was so much fun listening to you! I was also inspired to hear how you came into the book writing business. Really fun.
ReplyDeleteHow cool is that! I missed it, is it possible to hear them later or are they just live?
