Recovery from my polka dot problem was slow, and now I've developed another problem. Text fabrics. I can spot a bolt of fabric with words on it through the store window from the parking lot. Not kidding. Just a few more pieces, and I'll be ready to make a really fun quilt.
Picked up these (and a few more) pieces of Benartex WordPlay from an Etsy seller, carmenjass.
And more Benartex WordPlay from Quilter's Compass. (Great sale, too.)
Noteworthy and Lucy's Crab Shack from my stash.
More Sweetwater goodness.
Echo Park and Architextures
New favorites -- Lori Holt's Polka Dot Stitches and Timeless Treasures Wine Lover Words. This group from fabric.comhttps://www.fabric.com/.
And a few that I picked up from my lunch hour hide-out.
Hope you'll stop by Tuesday -- I have a fun surprise for you.
Have a great week!
You too, huh? I have several of those and my stash is growing. :o) However, polka dots are still my first love.
ReplyDeleteI love text fabrics too. Sweetwater always has good ones. I don't see Architextures in your collection. Your quilt will be wonderful.
ReplyDeleteOkay ... if you ever find a recovery group for getting over this obsession, let me know, I'll have to join with you! Love your fabrics and have many of these too :) :)
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize there were so many fabric lines with words. The variety you've collected is impressive. As a former English teacher, this kind of fabric collection is REALLY tempting. I'll have to see how long it takes before I fall under their spell.
ReplyDeleteYou have a great collection started!
ReplyDeleteWonderful collection. The 'hunt' has kept you very busy.
ReplyDeletePretty wonderful.
ReplyDeleteOoh! I'm working on collecting some too! I just picked up some of the scribbles from Architexture last week. Just a few yards........LOL Love your stash :-)
ReplyDeleteI was just in a fat eighth text fabric swap. I know have 15 new text fabrics to add to my stash.
ReplyDeleteI've collected spots/dots fabrics for several years now, but have yet to make a quilt with them!!! I also love text fabrics, but only have a few ... so far. Thanks for all the tempting photos :)
ReplyDeleteI spell for a living so words have always been my thing! You've picked up some really great fabrics there! Looking forward to seeing the next step :)
ReplyDeletegreat collection!
ReplyDeleteI have a few of these myself! Like you, I find them yummy ~
ReplyDelete:-} pokey
I'll be waiting to see.....
ReplyDeleteYou have a fabulous, inspiring stash of text fabrics! I can't wait to see what they become.
ReplyDeleteOoooh nice! I don't have any text fabrics...yet.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing what you do with yours :)
I have that problem too but it's a nice problem to have :-)
ReplyDeletewhat a great obsession - I too love word fabircs.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what you are making with them.
Oh my gosh! How fun and what a fabulous collection!!
ReplyDeleteKeep an eye out for Pat Sloan's new fabric line. There's one particular fabric that either says "I run with scissors" or "Runs with scissors". Will be wanting a truck load of that fabric!
ReplyDeleteYou've actually recovered from a polka-dot addiction??? I'm still mired in mine. AND I've joined you in the text problem. I look for them every time I step into a quilt shop -- mostly to no avail. I see so many gorgeous text prints on Australian quilts -- we need those prints over here!!!
ReplyDeleteOh my! I can't even find ONE text fabric in my area!! Only by mail, so your stash of text fabric is mind-boggling to me.
ReplyDeleteI love text fabrics, too. Sometimes I have trouble buying them, though for some reason. Don't understand it.
ReplyDeleteHey, when I was in Durango this weekend, I bought fabric to make a quilt from your Scrap Basket Surprises book. Can't wait to make it. Will show you photos!
I am right there with you, sister! Text fabrics have always been a favorite of mine but they used to be hard to find (I have been quilting/hoarding fabric for 20+ years). I am SO glad that fabric designers are finding more and more ways to use text in their lines!
ReplyDeleteThere is such a thing as recovery from polky dots? Someone needs to clue me in :) I have a full 20gallon tub of them that I use here and there but want to make a full dot quilt with! I love text fabric too but that's a new obsession so I only have a 2 gallon tub of them :)
ReplyDeleteI'm following you on Instagram and I'm thrilled you saw my Picnic quilt in progress...It's been a fun quilt to make! I plan on making more quilts from your book.
