A while back, I confessed to having a text fabric problem.
Initially, I didn't have a plan, but knew I wanted to make a quilt using lots of low-volume text prints with little scraps of color. Here's a little preview of what I'm working on.
I'm also working on a tutorial to share with you later this week in case
you want to sew along with me. Hope you'll join me!
In the meantime, we have a winner of the Celebrate Christmas with That Patchwork Place eBook.
Congratulations, Jennifer! I know you'll have fun with this book!
Thank you to everyone who played along. Hope you all have a great week!
Kim
Congrats to your winner! I love text fabric and a whole quilt of text and POLKA DOTS will be awesome. Can't wait to see what you're up to.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely having stash envy for your text fabrics! Would love to hear more about how/where you acquired your fabrics!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness Kim! You have the most amazing text fabric collection!!!! I wish I had that problem!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, I think that's me! Thanks so much! I look forward to seeing your project with all the text fabric - I love them too, but don't have anything close to you collection :)
ReplyDeleteYou've been busy too! Love it so far.
ReplyDeleteI seem to have a thing for text fabric too. I really didn't notice it till I got home and started putting my fabric away after several trips and noticed that I had a thing for words and numbers. It makes great low value fabric. Not sure how I'm going to use it.
ReplyDeleteLove what I'm seeing! Hope your fourth was festive.
ReplyDeleteIn my book, hoarding of text fabrics could NEVER be a problem! They're beautiful, and your little sneak peek looks fantastic!!!
ReplyDeleteI THOUGHT I had a problem! No way I can come close to your collection. And they are all so pretty. I was thinking I'd have to print my own, but obviously there are lots of choices out there. I guess I have to visit a few LQS's and find some of yours.
ReplyDeletei too, have a serious text/low volume problem and am now wondering what to do with it all......can't wait to see what you have come up with
ReplyDeleteYES!!! A fellow text-a-holic!! Bring on the tut!

I'll be checking out your tutorial, I love these fabrics. I have a small pile, maybe it will be enough to start.
ReplyDeleteI also love text fabrics and have been saving them. Perhaps your quilt will inspire me!
ReplyDeleteHi Kim - Just love your text fabric photo above. This is a long shot but could you possibly tell me please the name of the fabric that is in the top photo - 6th one in - that has LIVE in red letters and part of the text reads "work really hard".....?
